BiographyEdit

Early lifeEdit

Born to Tom and Patti Hephner, Jeff Hephner grew up in the small town of Sand Creek near Adrian, Michigan, where he graduated from Sand Creek High School. In high school he played basketball and football. He was named to the academic all-state team for Class C-D for the 1993-1994 season.

He played basketball and attended Calvin College in Grand Rapids, MI for two years, and then transferred to Ferris State University in Big Rapids, MI for two years.

CareerEdit

He began his Hollywood career with small roles in two feature films: in 2000's Tigerland, starring Colin Farrell, and as a waiter in the 2002 film Maid in Manhattan, alongside Jennifer Lopez. He had starring roles in two small films, The Outlands and So How Do You Feel About Your Watch, both released in 2002.

After appearing in ten episodes of The Jury as Keenan O'Brien, he also appeared in the 2005 episode "The Unblinking Eye" on Law & Order: Criminal Intent, as Michael Pike.

Hephner starred as author Pat Conroy in the Hallmark Hall of Fame 2006 television movie The Water Is Wide with Alfre Woodard, based on the book by Conroy and a remake of the 1974 feature motion picture Conrack, starring Jon Voight.

He played the lead role of Morgan Stanley Buffkin in the 2008 television series Easy Money airing on the CW network. The show aired for four episodes in October 2008 before cancellation, and the other four episodes already filmed did not air until the following summer (July–August 2009).

Following the cancellation of Easy Money, Hephner has appeared in guest roles on Private Practice, CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, NCIS, and in four episodes of Mercy as firefighter Pete Boswick, romantically linked to Michelle Trachtenberg's character Chloe Payne.

In 2010 Hephner replaced Ben Browder in the recurring role of football coach Red Raymond in The CW's new comedy-drama series Hellcats, playing the former flame of Hellcats' coach Vanessa Lodge.

BuddyTV ranked him #86 on its list of "TV's Sexiest Men of 2011".

Hephner was cast in a lead role in the failed television series The Playboy Club, but was replaced by Eddie Cibrian before filming began.
