William Ross is a Chicago alderman.

Biography[]

Season 1[]

Mayor of Chicago Tom Kane chairs a city council meeting to vote on an ordnance related to his pet project; the redevelopment of O'Hare International Airport. Ross is obstructive to Kane freely wielding power. Kane forces the vote to be undocumented, locking the council members in chambers and taking their phones until the issue is decided.[1]

Season 2[]

He is devastated by his marriage ending and stops attending work. He begins drinking in the daytime and leaves his political career in the hands of his chief of staff, Mona Fredericks.[2]
