He counsels Zajac not to worry about the success of his rival Senator Catherine Walsh in the polls. Zajac is unimpressed by his performance, accusing him of a lack of focus. Zajac complains to his supporter Mayor Tom Kane about Mathers, suggesting that he is not up to handling a gubernatorial campaign.[1]
