Nancy is the mother of Kitty O'Neill.

She is concerned when Kitty returns home, leaving her job as an aide to Mayor Tom Kane. She wonders if she has had an affair with Ezra Stone when she finds Kitty reading his obituary. Kitty truthfully denies being more than a friend to Stone.[1]
